Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center
About Us
The Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) strives to enhance the access to quality health care by improving the supply and distribution of healthcare professionals through community/academic educational partnerships.
Our organization provides service to sixteen counties in eastern Kentucky. From clinical rotations in rural practice settings to health careers programming in our local school systems, our youth are being prepared to enter the healthcare workforce. In addition, Southeast Kentucky AHEC supports our local communities by offering continuing education opportunities to healthcare professionals, as well as medical library services in the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center.
The Kentucky AHEC system depends upon community members to guide AHEC directed activities in each of the communities served. A special thanks goes out to the Southeast KY AHEC Advisory Board Members listed below for their dedicated service.
